Team Purpose
The El Dorado Youth Trap Team introduces the sport of trap shooting to athletes ranging in ages up to 22 years old. Trap shooting practices and fun shoots teach gun safety, responsibility and sportsmanship.
About Us
The El Dorado Youth Trap Team shoots under the California Youth Shooting Sports Association (CYSSA) in a series of fun shoot competitions. Athletes can compete at up to 6 fun shoots, the state competition and the US Open held in Las Vegas.
Coaches spend practice time teaching gun safety and respect before teaching the rules of the game. Sportsmanship is enforced along with a positive attitude.

Trap can be an individual sport but athletes encourage each other in different parts of the game.

Athletes will learn how to take care of their firearm and safe handling practices.
Responsibility
Responsibility
Responsibility comes from staying focused at practices and the desire to attend practices. Medals from fun shoots represent this hard work.
